I’m Charl Smit.

I aim to teach individuals who desire to work independently with Windows computers without anxiety, worry, or confusion. My method involves direct vocal communication and is held in person at your residence. Today’s world requires knowledge of computer use. Almost everything we do requires some form of technological use. I would like to assist my clients to be able to comfortably work with technology without supervision or assistance.

How does the process and payment work?

I arrive and park at your residence. We will begin by establishing what you already know about computers and how to navigate this technology. After this, we will commence with the actual lesson. I am very patient, professional, and trustworthy. Lessons are generally an hour, but can typically be extended by a few minutes without being additionally charged, which may be a normal case scenario. The ideal payment is via EFT and payment is expected to reflect within 3 business days. Your own computer or laptop with an internet connection. We will be using your computer for all lessons.

Knowledge will be taught about some or all of the following:

• Settings & customization/personalization

• The very basics of Artificial Intelligence, using ChatGPT and Gemini.

• The operating system and how to navigate it (what you will do on a daily basis)

• Browsing the internet - navigating in the browser, websites, downloads, avoiding danger zones

• Installing applications and understanding certain file formats - if needed, we will install numerous applications that are safe and required for smooth functionality like Winrar, Zoom, K-Lite Media Pack, Adobe Reader, and a browser

My qualifications:

• 15+ Years of computer use experience.

• Solution Professional certified Smartsheet developer.

• I have held the CompTIA A+ certificate from 2018 - 2021.
